This year’s IFF Showcases brings some of the industry’s most exciting emerging talent to the stage.
Closing IFF 2025 with a bang, the UK’s Music Venue Trust will be hosting Thursday evening’s showcase in Omeara between 20:00 and 22:30, profiling some thrilling up-and-coming artists.
Bilk are a dynamic rock-and-roll band from Chelmsford, Essex. Fusing elements of rock and roll, punk, indie, and rap, Bilk’s style can never be pigeonholed.
Formed on the island of Malta, Brighton-based, Anglo-Maltese outfit ĠENN are a self-described sisterhood founded on instinctive trust, their bold move to the UK mirrored by their 2023 debut album unum (a Latin word for oneness and unity).
Nadia Sheikh is a British-Spanish artist with a knack for crafting emotionally rich songs and unforgettable choruses. Her journey has taken her from supporting Stereophonics on their European Kind tour to opening for PJ Harvey and Texas in Madrid, and performing at major festivals like Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, FIB, Kendal Calling and Y Not.
At just 18, south Londoner Sam Wilkinson is making his mark with the release of his debut project, Everything’s alright. It’s a milestone in a year full of firsts for the young artist.

Making their first appearance at an IFF showcase, Motion brings three of their hottest acts to South London between 14:05 and 15:15 on Thursday 11 September.
Goldie Lookin Chain are hitting the road again in 2025 after a huge 22-date sold-out tour in 2024. This time, the Welsh hip-hoppers will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their legendary second studio album, SAFE AS F*CK.
London/Bristol four-piece, The Jacques resist genre by toying with it and bending its meaning with audio absurdities and distinctive vocals that fit the romantic to the ludicrous, through to straight-up grotesque, and often with some tongue-in-cheek.
Pastel are a five-piece indie shoegaze band influenced by Shack. Fronted by Droylsden (Manchester) cousins Jack Yates (singer) & James Yates (guitar), with Liam O'Shea (bass), Joe Anderson (guitar) & Rhys Wheeler (drums), their critically acclaimed debut album, Souls In Motion, dropped in January 2025 and reached no.1 in the UK record store chart.
