Eaves Wilder began songwriting around the age of eight, harnessing an early obsession with ‘60s Motown records, The Beatles and the left-field pop of Lily Allen. Her inspirations are endless, but it was the riot grrrl movement that first blew the doors open for her.
Her debut, self-released at the age of 16 via the Orchard, featured dreamy shoegaze guitars, Wilder’s signature sweet vocals, and intelligent and deceptively cutting lyrics. This led to her signing at the age of 18 with label Secretly Canadian, with whom she released her first official tracks and an EP, Hookey, in 2023-24.
The campaign for her debut album – due for release next spring – kicks off this autumn with the first single, Everybody Talks, to be released by Secretly Canadian on 23 September.
