IFF London is pleased to announce our first-ever charity partnership with In Place of War (IPOW). In Place of War works alongside artists, musicians and grassroots cultural organisations in communities affected by conflict, climate change and systemic inequality. Founded in 2004 as a research project at the University of Manchester by Professor James Thompson, IPOW has since delivered more than 100 programmes worldwide, from gang affected communities in South Africa and Colombia, to the frontline of conflict in Palestine, to indigenous communities in the Amazon affected by climate change. At its core, IPOW is a bridge between that work and the global music industry: it exists to help artists, labels, festivals and executives turn their platform, resources and relationships into lasting, grassroots led impact.
Stay tuned for more details on how IPOW will be involved throughout IFF London 2026 and the opportunities to hear directly from the team about the communities they support and the impact their programmes are having around the world.
